The house was owned by the Astor family from 1893.
Many famous people have stayed at Cliveden such as Winston Churchill and it was the location for the infamous Profumo Affair in the 1960s with Christine Keller.
Now there is a Michelin Star restaurant, Waldos, a comprehensive spa suit and pools, fine dining, excellent rooms and grounds.
