Torre Abbey comprises of two Grade 1 listed buildings and was adopted as a private residence since 1539 following the dissolution of the monasteries.
The current set up dates from the 1740s and was purchased by Torbay Borough Council in 1930
It is currently undergoing a £6.5m restoration and is closed until July 2008. You will find Torre Abbey on the seafront in Torquay and includes a Spanish Barn, cloisters, gardens and the Agatha Chrisie Collection.
