Full Description:	Thornbury Castle lies near Bristol nestling in the Cotswolds in South Gloucestershire. It has been home to many Kings and Queens over the years. In 1535 Henry VIII sayed at the hotel. Since the 1850s the castle has been a private residence and part of the Von Essen Chain. Thornbury Castle has its own 500 year old vinyard as well as historic parkland. The castle is mainly open for short breaks and has 24 bedrooms. The castle also offers conferencing facilities.

I've visited three times and am about to go visit again this afternoon. It's a lovely place to visit - the staff are well trained, the food is glorious, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are luxurious. Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion without a doubt.
